Biohazard Warning

The "Secondary Infection":
Fake Recovery Agents

Date: February 13, 2026
Subject: Recovery Scams (Double-Dip Fraud)
Risk Level: EXTREME

Paramedic's Log:

In trauma medicine, a "secondary infection" occurs when a patient, already weakened by an injury, gets infected by bacteria in the hospital. In the digital world, this is happening right now to fraud victims.

Scammers are posing as "Cyber Police," "Hackers for Hire," or "Recovery Experts" to target people who have already lost money.

1. The "Ambulance Chaser" Tactic

If you post about being scammed on social media, bots will immediately comment: "This expert on Instagram recovered my funds!" This is a lie. These are not paramedics; they are vultures circling a wounded patient.

Diagnosis: Legitimate recovery takes legal process. Anyone promising "hacking back" or "guaranteed 100% refund in 24 hours" is carrying a secondary virus.

2. Upfront Fee "Co-Pay" Scam

The fake agent will claim they found your money on the blockchain but demand an upfront "gas fee," "tax," or "software fee" to release it. Once you pay, they vanish. You have now been scammed twice.

3. The Only Safe Protocol

Do not trust unverified telegram handles or random email addresses. You need a sterile, verified environment to report the crime and track the attacker.

Always verify the source before sharing your case details. If an agent asks for your private keys or seed phrase, terminate the connection immediately.

Final Note: True recovery starts with verified data, not magic tricks. Stay safe.
